Happy Spring!

Welcome to the season of cleaning, decluttering, and bringing fresh air and flowers into the house. A little update to the Reading Days, they will now just be by seasons (instead of months). Scroll down to the bottom of this post for an FAQ section if you want to learn more about what we're doing.

Today we welcome all the days of spring and what we'll be reading!

I personally love spring. Coming from a long winter, especially in Northwestern PA.. where it's still been snowing halfway into April, Spring is welcome here any day. The longer daylight to eventually warmer temps, but also just the freshness of life, is a beautiful time of year.

On Spring Day 10, Jolene talks about the importance of self love. I think right now as we are working our way into summer, a lot of people are trying to get to the gym more and clean up their eating for the summer months. She reminds us the importance of taking care of yourself, especially sleeping and eating. She says:

"Ask yourself what you need on this day, or at this moment in your life, and find healthy, beautifying ways to meet those changing needs." - Jolene Hart (page 32)

Realizing that a lot of the time we may not know what we need at this time, but how we should look inside and let our body tell us. Maybe we're stressed and need to go for a walk and clear our head. Or we're grumpy and need to journal/talk things out. More than not your body will tell you what it needs.


2018 Spring begins March 20th and goes until June 20th.
