Today I'm sharing my home gym and how you can create a home gym of your own. I've never owned a gym membership, all my weight loss success has come from at home workouts. :) I started with Zumba which I received as a Christmas present one year. This was about all I had for about a year and a half besides 5 lb dumbbells, a mini trampoline, and a boxed weight set that never was used (and was super awkward and heavy to carry!)

I've been lucky enough that I've found some pretty good steals as far as workout equipment goes! It doesn't matter where you're starting from or what you're starting with.
You can build up your home gym slowly and changes things as needed. Here are some of my tips & tricks for building up your own gym!
FAMILY + FRIENDS
You probably know someone who has a treadmill that is collecting dust and clothes. Maybe ask them if you could buy it off them. How about that weight set that you're uncle never uses.. maybe he's looking to make room for other things in his basement. You never know what family may have, ask around, see what people aren't using anymore. Chances are if they haven't touched it in years.. it's all yours!
"I got $20 in my pocketttt" But you don't even need $20, much less! I grabbed this Step Box for a whopping $3! It's purple, cute, and works wonderfully. I also managed to score another mini trampoline for $5. Scout around, you never know what you'll find! (A lot of places will have weights as well)
Birthdays, Christmas, Valentine's Day... all perfect times to ask friends/family for new workout gear! Pick one thing you really want to try out and once you receive it, give it a go! These Exercise Balls are inexpensive and easy to wrap up ... as long as they stay in the box :)
One day I needed a medicine ball to do push-ups on.. but I don't have one (yet!). So the next best thing that could roll?.. an empty wine bottle! Look around and see what you can use around the house.
- Tricep dips - Use a chair or the couch
- Kettle Bell Swings - I've used a jug of water before
- Medicine Ball Push-Ups- Empty wine bottle
- Step Ups- Use a sturdy step stool
- Body Weight- Squats, Lunges, Pushups, Crunches, etc.. can all be done with just your body!
- The World- Get outside for a walk, run, hike. The world is a wonderful playground for fitness.
IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS
Bands, Jump Ropes, Straps.. are all inexpensive and can create a good sweat! You can find all these things at Walmart or Target.
